San Francisco

Here are some of the top must see (photography worthy) sites in san fran:

When planning a trip, I usually visualize it better where i want to go by looking at a map, i like dividing the trip by regions, and with San Francisco was no different! You will notice I organized this itinerary from east to west - south to north (did that make sense? kind of like a circle. no? well keep reading and you'll know what I mean!!)

Bernal Heights Park - You’ve seen this photo before: you on the swing with one leg going back and one leg going forward. overlooking the city…. yes yes yes. you know exactly what I’m talking about! I unfortunately did not have time to go to this location, given that I only had one day to explore the city. even though I haven't been, I strongly recommend it!!

Address:
Bernal Heights Blvd
San Francisco, CA 94110

2

Castro Theater - Not just the theater but the entire Castro Street is entirely photogenic. Just be careful to not spend too much time there and not enjoy the rest of the city! 😅 unless you have more days to spare on your trip, then definitely take your time!!

Address:
429 Castro St
San Francisco, CA 94114

San Francisco City Hall - I have a soft spot for European-modern-like-buildings (or at least that’s how I like to define this type of architecture). It brings out a somewhat DC feeling. If this building was a person, it would be the perfect partner 😍😂 beautiful on the outside but even more amazing on the inside!!!

SFMoma - if you’ve looked at other guides you probably saw a photo of the contemporary optics exhibit, and that’s probably what is going to convince you to visit the museum. however I strongly encourage you to take your time when visiting and going through the various exhibits happening in the museum. Transamerica Pyramid - “48-storey futurist skyscraper and the second tallest building in the San Francisco skyline”. The trick with this building is that you don’t necessarily need to go all the way to it to catch a good photo. So if you’re tight on time don’t worry, just snap a photo whenever you see it somewhere on your landscape! but here is an example of a close up photo from right under the building.

Ferry Building - Here you’ll find the famous farmers market held on tuesday’s thursday’s and Saturday’s. “Tuesdays and Thursdays, the smaller markets occupy the front of the building along the Embarcadero; on Saturdays, the much larger market is held both in front of the Ferry Building and on the rear plaza overlooking the Bay. The markets offer fruits, vegetables, herbs, flowers, meats and eggs from small regional farmers and ranchers, many of whom are certified organic.” However you may still enjoy Ferry Plaza on other days of the week. Their indoor stores and merchants will be there every day of the week.

Pier 39 - Attractions here vary from sailing, to wine tasting, to amusement park activities and multiple stores. But the real photo opp here is the carousel, the greetings from San Francisco wall art and of course, the pier itself.

Super Duper - YOURE NOT READY FOR THIS. Have you clicked on the name yet? Have you seen this piece of art? haha jokes apart, a really yummy burger 🍔!! great lunch stop! Make sure to get their garlic fries 🍟!! 🤤🤤🤤 (also I have not tried but check these fries with eggs… 🧐)

Various locations in town, the one I went to was at:

Palace of Fine Arts - This place got the awe factor in any corner of your walk around its grounds. One thing you will hear and see signs for is to be careful with your car. Don’t leave any belongings inside your car, since apparently people will break into your car in broad daylight. i was so surprised by that, and as you parallel park by the palace you’ll see car window glass on the floor. scary. I had a great time visiting, just take the right precautions. overall, one of the best photo location of the city in my opinion.
